1. I have a question. If I do these variations, will I increase my performance on a fitness test? Eg: On those tests, the push up required is the "standard" push up. When I train, I usually do some of these variations and the required push up, because I worry that if I dont train the "standard" one, I'm not going to work the muscles I have to work, and consequently, will not perform well on the test. Is the way I'm thinking correct? Or if I do just the variations it will be more effective than doing them AND doing the "standard" one?
